As we enter the month of August here is a quick update on what your Chaska Area Chapter of Let's Go Fishing has been up to.

 

+  AOA trips and kids trips continue to go well!  25 trips have already been scheduled for August.  The volunteer captains and mates continue to do a great job as do our friends at Howard's Point Marina.  Your first year chapter continues to shine in many ways!

 

+  The banquet to celebrate our first years as a Let's Go Fishing Chapter has been scheduled for Wednesday, September 29th at The Lodge.  The date is the 29th and not the 22nd.  This will be a prime rib bonanza with all the fixin's!  This should be a special evening so we hope that many of you and your guest will be able to come.  Invites will be send out shortly after which time you can pre-register.

 

+  Attached is a narrative draft pertaining to what we might head into next year called "Take a Kid Fishing".  Kathy and I are working with Rob Sweeny to put the program together and to solicit sponsors.  If you would like to be a part of where we are headed with this kids program please let Kathy or me know.  Once again this is only a draft so if you have ideas and suggestions please let us know.  The state Let's Go Fishing organization is also making movement with a kids fishing program which we hope to work with prior to the 2011 fishing season.
